Dr. Fee provides general obstetric and gynecological care. Below are some areas of focus:

Pregnancy/Pre-Natal Care

This includes monthly then weekly visits with Dr. Fee and our nurse practitioners. There is an emphasis on diet and exercise during pregnancy and we give information at each visit. There is at least one ultrasound given.

Dr. Fee accepts some "high-risk" patients, including mothers over 35, high blood pressure and diet-controlled diabetes. Although she is trained in all delivery techniques, Dr. Fee does accept low-intervention natural childbirth deliveries in a birthing-room setting. The health of the mother and baby is always the highest priority. Deliveries are done at St. Joseph Hospital.

The number of deliveries per month is limited by Dr. Fee.

Menopause and Hormone Management

Dr. Fee takes a particularly "holistic" view on this area since it has become clear that there is no universal "right way" to manage hormones in the menopausal and post-menopausal time. Rather, a woman's personal history, family history, risk profile and her own wishes must be taken into account in selecting the most appropriate treatment.

Conventional hormone therapies, "natural" hormones or herbal remedies may be used alone or in combination. Risk assessment and health screening is stressed.

Infertility

Consultations can be arranged when a couple is having difficulty conceiving. Insurance benefits can be checked by our office since many health plans do not cover fertility work or do so at a limited rate.

A base workup will usually include a semen analysis, but male/urologic problems are referred to a urologist. Laproscopic surgery, hormone management, ovulation induction and inseminations are done as needed by Dr. Fee. Advanced processes such as IVF are refered to a competent subspecialist.
